New for Spring - Malabrigo has just released Silky Merino.

This is a DK weight yarn made from 50% Silk & 50% Baby Merino wool in 150 yard skeins.

This yarn lives up to everything that you've come to expect from Malabrigo - - the colors are rich and the softness is beyond belief.

More colors are in the pipeline...so stay tuned.

Talent Show with Jen and Edith

Edith's Fair Isle hat is a design she did herself. If you want to learn Fair Isle knitting there is a class coming up on January 24th at TYF.

Yumiko Alexander is multi-talented Arizona designer/artist and owner of Dan Doh LLC.

MEN KNIT, TOO - Class

Knitting is not gender specific!

In fact, according to The Complete Encyclopedia of Stitchery by Mildred Graves Ryan, most historians agree that knitting was probably spread by male Arabian sailors and merchants who traveled throughout the Mediterranean.

So why not share your knitting passion with a friend (male)?

On two Fridays, January 18th and 25th, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, Bev Walker will be teaching MEN KNIT, TOO (beginning knitting for Males Only).

Get him out of the house and get him involved with knitting.

Crystal Palace Panda Silk

Panda Silk is a 52% bamboo, 43% machine washable Merino wool and 5% combed silk yarn. The bamboo gives the yarn a silky hand with luster, the wool adds the softness and the combed silk gives it added sheen and strength. Panda Silk's solids are color coordinated to match the painted tone-on-tone shades. The numbers are a clue - color 4001 coordinates with 3001, 4006 with 3006, etc.
