World Wide Knit In Public Day
Is June 14th - - Be Part Of
TYF's Virtual Event

What is World Wide Knit in Public Day?
This event was started in 2005 and began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company. WWKiP Day is all about showing the general public that knitting can be a community activity.

How big a deal is this?
WWKiP Day is unique, in that it's the largest knitter-run event in the world. In 2007 there were over 200 events held in Australia, China, England, Finland, France, Ireland, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, United States… and so many more countries.

What is the TYF Virtual Event?
We all know that Arizonans are a cantankerous and independent group of folks. In that spirit, and with the price of gas, instead of trying to get everyone together in one spot, we invite you to take your knitting with you when you are out and about on Saturday, June 14th. Then, at 1:00 pm, stop somewhere in public and start knitting (if you are driving wait till you stop).

Have someone take a digital picture of you knitting in public, and then send it to tempeyarn@gmail.com.

All photos received will be posted on http://www.tempeyarn.com/.

Here's the fun part--the person who submits the most un+ewe+sual knit in public photo (as judged by Fred) by June 17th will win a TYF gift card.
