What is "Tour de Fleece"?
Ravelry* annually holds a Tour de Fleece event where partcipants spinalong during the Tour de France. The concept is simple; they spin on bikes, we spin on spinning wheels. It's a real spinning themed spinalong.
This year the Tour de Fleece starts Saturday, July 4th and runs until Sunday, July 26th, 2009.
Every day that the Tour de France rides, if possible, our team will spin based on the goals the individual team member have set for themselves. We will have regularly scheduled events at Tempe Yarn, prizes for the team participants during the race, and a Team party at the end of the event.
So what's our team's name? "Fred's Fiber Fiends From Tempe Yarn & Fiber" or F cubed.
If you want to be part of our team, log into Ravelry and go to the Tour de Fleece group and search for "Fred's Fiber Fiends".
