If You Aren't @ the Sock Summit in OregonWhy Not Join Us @ Our "Sock Event"

Update: We had a good group in the shop with about 1/3 of them working on socks, another 1/3 were spinning and the final 1/3 was just partying. A good time was had by all.

The official Sock Summit in Oregon started on Thursday. For more info on this great event click on the logo below.

But if you aren't in Oregon now you weren't one of the lucky ones who were able to get tickets.

So on Saturday consider joining us at Tempe Yarn for our First Annual Sock Event from 1pm till close.

Unlike the Sock Summit we won't have:
-world famous sock knitters;
-exotic classes;
-150 vendors;
-or belly dancers (they aren't having that either but Fred wanted this one for here)


We will have:
-one of the largest selections of sock yarns in the valley including:
-Knitivity Sock yarn specially dyed Arizona colors;
-newly arrived Pagewood Farms Sock yarn;
-newly arrived Universal Phoenix Sock yarn (with yarns named after streets/places in the area);
-newly arrived Universal Miami and North Pole Sock yarns;
-a Sock Sample class from 2-5pm ($35) to learn to make socks (call ahead to sign up);
-folks who know socks;
-customers who like to have fun

So don't set home sulking about not being at the Sock Summit. Brave the heat and stop by TYF to be part of our "1st Annual Sock Event" sponsored by people who wear socks.

For those who don't want to do socks...THAT'S OKAY, we'll have our standard offering of knitting, crocheting, spinning, jokes, tall tales, and other things to do.
