Here are some photo of from the Silk Fusion this past Saturday.
In this workshop you will explore the art of making silk paper/fabric from silk fibers. You will create sample pieces so you can experience the process of handling the fibers, applying the medium and finishing your piece. We will discuss various ways to use the silk fusion pieces that you make in the workshop.
Some ideas for the fabric/paper you create are: cover books; embellish it with beads and embroidery and add it to garments; make amulet bags or small purses; create jewelry or add texture and designs to handmade cards.
