Worldwide Spin in Public Day was started in 2009 by a bunch of like-minded spinners to celebrate an art that they all love - the art of spinning fibers into yarn. The purpose of this event is to educate the public about our love of spinning, opens minds and hearts to what we love and allows us to meet new people, get together, and just have a really fun day!Since we opened, Spinning has been a big part of who we are at Tempe Yarn & Fiber. So it goes without saying that we'll be hosting a Spinning In Public event on Saturday, September 18th, from noon till 8pm.
If the weather is reasonable, we'll be out on the patio.
Bring your spinning wheel or drop spindle, some food to share, and we'll have a party.
If you bring someone new who hasn't been to the shop before, see one of the purple shirts and we'll enter you name into a drawing for a TYF gift card.
