Farm at the End of the Road
Many of you met Karli, 10, when she first brought raw wool from an earlier shearing into Tempe Yarn. She helps raise Tunis Sheep at Farm at the End of the Road. This is the breed Thomas Jefferson kept on the White House lawn?
Tunis wool is favored by hand spinners for its varied shades of cream, ivory, and off-white, as well as its lustrous, bouncy 24-30 micron diameter fiber.
Over the weekend, Thor & Ginger were sheared. So today, she delivered 4 ounce packages of the raw wool. This is as fresh as wool gets.
