Cat Bordhi Details

Since we announced that Cat Bordhi would be coming to Tempe Yarn to teach three exciting classes in November 2011, we've had calls from across the southwest wanting more information.  We have everything in place now and will begin sign up for her classes on June 15, 2011.

“Cat Bordhi’s mission, according to Stephanie Pearl McPhee, “is to make you a more creative, freethinking knitter who problem-solves and experiments with vigor and fearlessness. The best part?” She can.”

Cat teaches and inspires more than a 1,000 knitters each year in classes all over North America.  Her Youtube knitting tutorials have more than a million views, and her innovative books, Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles, A Treasury of Magical Knitting, A Second Trasury of Magical Knitting, New Pathways for Sock Knitters, Personal Footprints for Insouciant Sock Knitters, and an award-winning novel, Treasure Forest, have reached hundreds of thousands of readers.

What Cat says about herself.  "I love to teach and have a playful, positive nature. My background as a school teacher, years of teaching knitting workshops, an ability to see and explain things from many points of view, plus my sense of humor and love of people make it easy for me to entertain, encourage, and educate just about anyone. I give lots of individual attention, and love to kneel beside a knitter and share those “aha!” moments. To describe my workshops in a few words, I might choose “empowerment,” “inspiration,” and “fun.” My students often tell me they learn far more than they expected."
Cat will be teaching on the following three classes:

November 8th  from 10am to 5 pm

Cat’s Sweet Tomato Heel (this is a brand new class for 2011)
November 9th from 10am to 5 pm

November 10th from 10am to 5 pm

Each of the classes will be six hours long and will cost $125 each.
