Details on the Bombing of City of Tempe

The City of Tempe has challenged Tempe Yarn to Yarn Bomb the Community Services Complex Courtyard! 

On January 1st at 1pm, we'll be doing a practice run by Yarn Bombing one of the pillars in front of Tempe Yarn.  Bring swatches or rectangles or squares of any yarns to assemble on the pillar.  There are no restrictions on the size or yarn type.  Bring your crochet hooks, darning needles and scissors.

 

For the Community Services Complex Bombing, consider using your UFO's that you know you are never going to finish.  Bind off where ever you are in the project and bring the project down to TYF to donate to our cause. 

During January, we'll be meeting at TYF to plan and prepare for the actual bombing.  We'll be meeting on Fridays (January 4, 11, 18 and 25) from 1-3 AND 5-7 pm, and Saturdays (January 5, 12 and 19th) from 1-3pm.   Feel free to attend any of these meetings.

The actual Bombing will happen on Saturday, January 26th @ 1pm.  We will rendezvous at the Community Services Complex Courtyard (located on the southwest corner of Rural & Southern in Tempe). 

 
After doing our yarn work, we'll return to the shop and have a little celebration of our own creation.  If you plan on attending the actual bombing installation, please call or stop by to sign up so we can get a headcount.
