"Yarn Night On The Town" Was Lots of FUN

On the evening of February 14th, a great group of ladies joined the staff of Tempe Yarn for a "Yarn Night on the Town." This Yarn Tasting had a selection of wonderful Schaefer Yarns on the menu.

Terry started the evening by going over the various yarns on the menu.

As each new yarn was presented for tasting, garments made from that yarn were shown.

As the evening progressed, the ladies touched and snapped up their favorite Schaefer yarns.

Plus, each got to sample the six yarns being tasted.

Half way through the yarn tasting it was time to do some food tasting.

This wonderful fruit was provided by Edible Arrangements at 480 921 3660.

After the food break there were more yarns to sample.




But despite the great food, the Schaefer Yarn was the star of the night!

For those of you who missed the Yarn Tasting, the model garments from the trunk show are on display all this week, and on Saturday the Schaefer Yarn rep will be in the shop with one-of-a-kind yarns for your happy selection. For more information on this event click here.

Schaefer Yarn Fans - Judith, Andrea, Nancy & Heather Arrived for the Holidays

"Judith" yarn is 100% prime alpaca. The skeins are 4 oz. skein and 330 yards DK Weight at 5.5 St/inch on US #7.

"Andrea" is 100% cultivated silk in 3.5oz. / 1093 yard skeins. This drean lace weight knits up at 8 St/inch on US #0

"Heather" is a sock yarn with 55% merino wool SUPERWASH, 30% cultivated silk, 15% nylon. It comes in 4 oz. - 400 yard skeins and knits at 7 - 8 St/inch on US #1.
"Nancy" is 95% merino wool, 5% nylon in 8oz. - 600 yard skeins. This light worsted weight - knits 4.5-6 st/inch on US #5-7

Schaefer Yarn's Andrea is a Great 100% Silk

There are few things in life that match the feeling of 100% silk. Combine this with the hand painted colors of Andrea and you don't get much better than this. At 1093 yards, this is a great lace yarn for your summer projects.

Ths Schaefer Yarn Company's Anne & Nancy Arrive

Schaefer Yarns' Anne is a 60% superwash merino, 25% mohair and 15% nylon blend. It comes in 560 yard skeins and is designed for socks, shawls or other fingering weight projects.

Another wonderful yarn by Schaefer is Nancy. This yarn is a thick and thin twisted fiber and the colors are alive. The 95% merino and 5% nylon 600 yard skeins are well suited for tops, sweaters, shawls and other projects that you will dream up when you see this yarn.
