Thanks! We Appreciate Your Continued Business...

With the end of June, we'd like to thank everyone who went out in the heat to visit our shop. It was an interesting month with the Mystery Knitalong really taking off, new yarns arriving and about a dozen new spinners being born.

In July we'll be having the retreat and much more.

Check out the newsletter for details.

Stay cool (as you can in Arizona).

More Farmhouse
"Bo Peep Not Just for Sock Yarn"
Arrived

Farmhouse Yarns are made in America--they buy wool directly from sheep farmers whenever possible. Many are small family farms with 20 or fewer sheep; farms that find it very difficult to compete in a global economy where foreign wool has taken over and has driven down the price of wool. Farmhouse Yarns provides local farmers with a valuable market for their wool. Fleeces are inspected and hand-chosen for quality, then the yarns are hand-dyed to bring you the highest quality American yarns available.

Bo Peep's Not Just for Socks yarn is 450 yarns of 75% Merino, 25% Acrylic, Hand Dyed yarn.

Today Is WW Knit In Public Day
Don't Forget Our Photo Contest

What is World Wide Knit in Public Day?
This event was started in 2005 and began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company. WWKiP Day is all about showing the general public that knitting can be a community activity.

Tempe Yarn & Fiber is sponsoring a virtual knit in public event today!
We all know that Arizonans are a cantankerous and independent group of folks. In that spirit, and with the price of gas, instead of trying to get everyone together in one spot, we invite you to take your knitting with you when you are out and about today. Then, at 1:00 pm, stop somewhere in public and start knitting (if you are driving wait till you stop). Have someone take a digital picture of you knitting in public, and then send it to tempeyarn@gmail.com.

All photos received will be posted on tempeyarn.com/.

Here's the fun part--the person who submits the most un+ewe+sual knit in public photo (as judged by Fred) by June 17th will win a TYF gift card.

Mystery Knitalong Day 1 is History

Some people were up late last night waiting for clue #2 to be posted--well, until they read my email telling them it was safe to go to bed as no clues would be posted until today.

The Wednesday's Knotty Knitters group continued the buzzzz this morning waiting on the clue. Finally at around 10:30 am, the clue was posted. One person even had her laptop in the shop so she got the clue while she was here, and pictures of the first completed Clue 2 have been posted on Ravelry by a knitalong member.

This evening we had the Knitalong Support Group busily working on clue #2. There were 10-12 people working/talking away.

It's great to see people excited about knitting and eager for the next clue (which will be posted tomorrow between 10am and noon).

Thanks to everyone who is participating!

If you want to join the fun, give us a call, it's not too late.

TYF's Virtual Event

What is World Wide Knit in Public Day?
This event was started in 2005 and began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company. WWKiP Day is all about showing the general public that knitting can be a community activity.

How big a deal is this?

What is the TYF Virtual Event?
