We have ONE opening for the Felted Possibility Bag Class on Saturday (10/17) from 10:30 till 5:30.

We have THREE openings for the Nuno Felting class from 10 till 5 pm.

Felted Possibility Bag

When: October 17, 10:30 am to 5:30 pm (1 hour lunch break)

Cost: $90

Class Description: Learn multiple felting techniques (flat felt, felt beads, felt ropes) and sew one simple seam to create your own ‘possibility bag’. We will address various design and embellishment elements before felting and, as time allows, discuss and add further embellishment after felting. Bags are approximately 11” at their widest point and 13” in length.

Skill Level: All levels

Nuno Felting

When: Sunday October 18, 10 am – 5 pm

Cost: $90

Class Description: Come learn to combine merino wool top and sheer silk fabric to produce a one-of-a-kind scarf. This workshop teaches the basics of nuno felting (a wet felting process).

Skill Level: All levels

Supplies: You will need to purchase wool fiber on the day of the class, plus there is a $4 material fee for the silk fabric.

Felted Embellished Earrings Workshop
Saturday May 23rd (10am to 1pm)

In the first half of the workshop you'll learn to create your own felted beads using wool roving. The class will cover wet felting round beads, piercing them and adding the findings necessary to create a pair of earrings.


In the second half, you'll learn to wet felt around a core object to create a fun pair of spiral earrings.

Then you will embellish both pairs of earrings with seed beads and discuss other embellishment options. These techniques, once learned, can be applied to a variety of other jewelry projects. You'll go home with two pairs of completed earrings.

There are several spaces still open for this class call to reserve your space.

Felted Treasure Brooch Workshop

Saturday May 23rd (2pm to 5pm)

In this workshop you'll learn to wet felt around a small object, then cut part of the felt away, creating a bezel that reveals your treasure beneath. Further embellishment possibilities will be presented using beads and decorative stitching. You'll take hope a wearable brooch and the skills to create more complex treasure felted pieces.

There are 3 seats left in this class. Call if you want to join this small group.

Michelle Johnson just had a trunk show last Saturday and many of you purchased her wonderful yarns and finished products. We still have a limited supply of her yarns in stock.

Michelle will be back at TYF on May 23rd and 24th to teach classes. There are still spaces available for the two classes on the 23rd, however, the Nuno Felting class is sold out, give us a call to be placed on the waiting list.

On May 23rd (Saturday) from 10 am till 1 pm, Michelle will be teaching a Felted Embellished Earring workshop.

On Saturday afternoon, from 2 pm till 5 pm, she will be holding a workshop on Treasure Broochs. In this workshop you will learn to wet felt around a small object, then cut part of the felt away, creating a bezel that reveals your "treasure" beneath.
